«Magazine 50th Anniversary Edition»

«Wine is more than just a drink—it tells stories of people, origins, and craftsmanship. For the past twelve years, we’ve been sharing precisely these stories in this magazine because we’re convinced that they enrich every moment spent with wine. Over time, this has fostered close relationships with our partners and suppliers. Thanks to them, we’re able to offer you exclusive wines and special bottlings. With our 50th issue, we’re rolling out the red carpet for the established and rising stars of our selection. We hope you enjoy discovering these special wines. »

Bodegas Valtravieso is located on one of the highest plateaus of the Ribera del Duero. Anyone thinking of a picture-perfect postcard scene is way off the mark. The reality on the high plateau of Piñel de Arriba is quite different: barren, stony soils, coupled with a relentless north wind and daily temperature swings that would unsettle even the most hardened souls. While we would likely have long since fled, the Tempranillo grape thrives here—producing wines that are aromatic, precise, and incredibly elegant.
When the founding family planted vines here in the early 1980s—simply because they owned the land and wanted to make wine—it was considered crazy. The region celebrated opulent powerhouses; Valtravieso focused on freshness. A misstep? On the contrary. Today, when finesse is more in demand than brute force, that idea seems almost visionary.
And while others today try to replicate this cool style, Valtravieso has simply had it—all along. No wonder, then, that their Crianza has become our Ribera bestseller since its discovery nine years ago: a charming all-rounder with depth.

Apulia is one of Italy’s sunniest regions. From May to August, the sun shines an average of about 11 hours a day. For Apulia, it’s more than just weather. It shapes life, the landscape, and, of course, the character of the wines. In the glass, the sun reveals itself in the form of sweet, ripe fruit and plenty of body.
Onoro’s wines bring the sunny side of life to your wine rack. The Primitivo has been a long-standing crowd favorite in our selection.
A laid-back wine, fruity and round—perfect when the setting sun bathes the terrace in warm gold. It pairs excellently with a cheese platter and just as well with grilled meats.
To celebrate our 50th magazine issue, there’s now even more sunshine from Onoro. The new Fiano tastes fruity and fresh. Its aromas transport you to a lush garden on a sunny morning. A wonderfully harmonious white wine that refreshes you on a hot summer day—and brings sunshine to your glass on a rainy day.
The path to summer leads to Reims—not as a journey on a map, but as a journey in a glass. This historic city is the heart of Champagne and has been home to Veuve Clicquot for 250 years.
A table in the evening light, glasses on warm stone, a boat on a rippling lake, or a gathering in the garden where no one checks the time... Small and big moments that enrich life. Who will you send a message in a bottle to, as a guide to an unforgettable summer?
The distance between Zurich and Reims is 393 kilometers. A bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label instantly bridges this distance, taking you from the ordinary to the extraordinary: with a fine effervescence, notes of brioche and ripe fruit, and a freshness that makes everything feel light. This champagne has the power to turn small moments into lasting memories. Now available for a limited time as the Bottle Mail Edition.
«“Only champagne can turn something ordinary into a celebration in no time. So let’s celebrate life! With us, you’ll find the most renowned sparkling wines at the best price.”»

«“The unique partnership with Flaschenpost inspires us to create new wine ideas. ‘Fiirabig’ stands for uncomplicated enjoyment and is the perfect aperitif wine for any occasion.”»

Rumor is the name of the new rising star among rosés. Served in the trendiest restaurants and luxury hotels from Saint-Tropez to New York to Mykonos, it embodies a new lightness in the glass. The cuvée, sourced from various villages in the Côtes de Provence, showcases exactly the style you’d expect from a premium rosé: aromatic, lively, and refreshing.
Behind Rumor is Barry Bayat, a slightly eccentric American with more life coach vibes than the classic winemaker profile. His motivation? To put an end to the boredom in wine bars. As a passionate rosé drinker, he developed a wine with instant recognition—and struck a chord with the spirit of the times.
On the Côte d’Azur, where paparazzi, gossip, style, and rosé are part of everyday life, Rumor fits in seamlessly. A wine made for summer days. Rumor has it that it pairs perfectly with fish and sushi—and, of course, with the latest gossip.
In 2006, buying wine online was still considered a crazy idea by many. As a visionary entrepreneur, Silvio Denz recognized the potential of Flaschenpost even back then. To this day, we are bound by a close friendship, evidenced by the fact that we are able to offer special rarities from his vineyards time and again.
Silvio Denz’s journey began far from the grand châteaux, as he grew up in modest circumstances. It was only a chance encounter in France that sparked his passion for wine—and for the stories behind it. With a keen instinct, Denz has built an impressive portfolio of wineries since the 1990s.
The latest chapter is Château Lafon La Tuilerie: Until 2018, the small estate was owned by Pierre Lafon, a winemaker celebrated among Bordeaux enthusiasts. After two crop failures due to frost and mildew, Lafon had to give up and sold his 2.4 hectares of vines to his neighbor Silvio Denz. The vineyard is located on one of the best terroirs in Saint-Émilion. Limestone bricks were once quarried here, hence the name “Tuilerie.” The Merlot vines were planted in 1956—the year Denz was born. Gently vinified and made almost exclusively from the first pressing, the result is a wine of exceptional elegance. A quiet luxury with great radiance.
