About the wine
Chiara and Stefano Casali moved from Milan to the coastal Roccastrada in Maremma at the end of the 90s. After thorough and extensive renovation of the estate and the replanting of the vineyards, their first wine was released in 2007. We were immediately impressed - not only by the low prices for this zone - but above all by the smoothness of all their wines, their quality and the expected potential. Casali himself says of his wines that the Syrah grape would be best expressed in the very hot climate.
Tasting note
The color is a brilliant ruby red. The extensive bouquet shows notes of dark berries and precious spices. Full and rich on the palate, thanks to the clear fruit, the babone stays pleasantly fresh. A powerful wine with harmoniously integrated tannins, persistent in the finish and aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with game, barbecue and roasted vegetables.

Vinification and fermentation in steel tanks. Aging partly in steel tanks, partly in oak barrels.
