The calcareous, gravelly soils north and east of Gironde and Dordogne form the breeding ground for this Merlot. Tasting note
Deep ruby red in the glass. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe blackcurrants, plums, violets and fine spices, accompanied by subtle roasted notes and a hint of truffle. The palate is full-bodied, velvety and elegant, with ripe tannins and an impressive balance between fruit, freshness and structure. The long aftertaste is carried by dark berries and fine spiciness.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with fried or braised beef, crowned lamb, game dishes or even with truffle risotto and aged hard cheese.
