About the wine
The winery is one of the chosen ones invited by Napoleon III to the World Fair in Paris in 1855 and classified there. Since then, the wines from Chateau Cantemerle have been part of the Grand Cru Classé. The 87-hectare estate in Haut Medoc vinifies the grapes in oak barrels and allows them to mature in barriques for a year and a half.
