About the wine
Castile's extreme climate conditions — icy winters, scorching hot summers and barren soils — shape the old vines and give their grapes particular concentration. Based on this passion, Master of Wine Andreas Kubach and oenologist Matthias Tobler created Profundo: a dense, characterful cuvée from old vines. Authentic, powerful and at the same time innovative, the wine shows a lot of potential and is considered a real secret tip among connoisseurs.

Color: Dense ruby with purple-black core. Aroma: Intense ripe and fruity bouquet, compote-like of strawberries, spicy-roasted with a touch of licorice and vanilla, delicate smoky aging notes. Body: Long start, firm, present palate, flattering fruit sweetness, long and very harmonious aftertaste. Quality: A wine with potential, authentic and innovative — the secret tip of connoisseurs.
