About the wine
The name Varvàra was chosen in honor of Baroness Varvàra Wrangler, wife of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca and great-grandmother of Count Federico Zileri Dal Verme, the current owner. This wine was born out of the desire to develop a closer product while keeping the fruit in the foreground.

Tasting note
Intense cherry red. Blackberries and ripe cherries mingle with dry toast notes. Silky yet powerful on the palate. Fruit notes of raspberries and amarena cherries. Long-lasting with a subtle, dark chocolate finish An exciting representative from Bolgheri.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dark meats, lamb gigot, ragouts. Heavily seasoned pasta dishes such as lasagna, etc.
Vinification
Aging in barriques for 12 months.
