About the wine
The Quarantanni Rosso Riserva was created on the occasion of the winery's 40th anniversary. It is made from the two grape varieties Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Nero d' Avola is considered the star among the autochthonous varieties of the south. The vineyards are located on medium to high slopes in the Salemi area. The long maceration (12 days) in stainless steel tanks results in complete extraction of the colorants, flavors and tannins. The wine is then aged in wood for about a year. The wine is also vinified vegan.

Tasting note
Unique notes of vanilla and wild berries are surrounded by spicy spicy notes, which are also reminiscent of tobacco and cocoa. As in the nose, the essences also continue on the palate. The tannins are enveloping, silky and soft, the taste enhances all aromas. Long aftertaste that confirms the great structure of the wine right up to the end.

Goes well with wild meat birds with dried plums, roasts with hearty sauces, mature cheese, charcuterie
Vinification
The wine ages for about a year in 500-liter tonneaux barrels and in 225 liter oak barrels, resting regularly on the lees using the bâtonnage technique.
